Please be advised that as of August 6, 2011, the 8th Edition of the Massachusetts State Building Code for One & Two Family Dwellings will be in full force.

All construction plans and documents submitted for one & two family dwellings from this date forward must be in conformance with the 8th Edition of the Massachusetts State Building Code.

Currently, the 8th Edition of the Massachusetts State Building Code for commercial buildings is already in full force.  After August 6, 2011, the 7th Edition of the Massachusetts Building Code for both commercial buildings and one & two family dwellings will be phased out in its entirety.
