Bullying Prevention and Education
The Massachusetts Aggression Reduction Center (MARC) offers many excellent resources on helping parents, children, and schools with bullying and cyberbullying. These include free downloadable guides for parents on topics such as bullying; cyberbullying; social networking sites; online saftey; and cellphone use and texting.

Funding Factory
Bedford Recreation Kids' Club participates in the nation's largest free recycling fundraising program. Funding Factory offers FREE technology, sports & recreation equipment, playground systems or cash, in exchange for empty inkjet cartridges and used cell phones. Click the link to find out more about the program and to find out what cartridges and cell phones they accept. Used ink cartridges and cell phones can be dropped off at KIDS' CLUB - there is a collection bucket across the hall from the office door (Room 145).

Bedfordkids.com is a web site for families in Bedford, Massachusetts and surrounding communities. It features a calendar of events, suggestions of fun things to do with children (classes, activities, playgrounds, and adventures), helpful parenting links, K-12 resources, and much more!

BEST/PTO - Bedford Elementary Schools Together
Providing a Forum for Communication, Enrichment and Support
The mission of the BEST/PTO is to provide support, communication and enrichment to the students, families and school staff at both the Davis School (K - Grade 2) and the Lane School (Grades 3 - 5). The PTO is very active in raising funds for classroom and teacher grants, enrichment programs and physical improvements to the schools.

Bedford Education Foundation
The Bedford Education Foundation (BEF) promotes classroom innovation and empowers teachers and students to meet the growing challenges of the 21st century. Through direct grants to individual classroom teachers and school administrators, and indirect grants to other established school organizations, the BEF is dedicated to enhancing classroom curricular creativity and innovation in the Bedford Public Schools. The BEF provides a unique and effective vehicle for the community at large to utilize its fiscal and intellectual capital to ensure that creativity and innovation are staples of any student's experience in the Bedford Public Schools.

The Bedford Family Connection (BFC) is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization that gives support to local families by providing fun and enriching activities for children ages 0-5 and their parents.

Part of the Disney family, FamilyFun.go.com is a great site for arts & crafts ideas, recipes, games, and holiday fun. You can sign up for their e-newsletter and also search for ideas and activities by age group.
