Community Training
The Bedford Fire Department is a community training center for the American Heart Association (AHA), which offers CPR and first aid training. The training classes offered are conducted for first responders, healthcare providers, and the public. Please contact us you are interested.
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
While our department does not offer training to become a certified EMT, several colleges and private companies in the area do offer classes. Massachusetts Office of Emergency Medical Services guidelines require completion of a certified course that provides a minimum of 110 hours of instruction and CPR certification before a candidate may take the certification exam.
The Bedford Fire Department does not endorse or sponsor any specific EMT training program. For a complete list of certified providers, visit the OEMS website.
