COA Special Events

If you are interested in signing up for any of the programs listed below, please email COA or call at 781-275-6825 and let us know which program you'd like to sign up for.

• Saturdays from 10 am to noon: Saturday Tech Support! Have questions or need help with your phone, internet, iPad, or computer? Kai Holland will be at the COA from 10a-12p to assist any senior have issues or questions with technology!
• Saturdays at 12:15 pm: Saturday Movies! Check out the monthly COA Newsletter or call the COA at 781-275-6825 to see which movies are being played that month.
• Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 12:30 pm: Therapy Dog Comes Back to the COA! A new therapy dog, Abigale, and Bedford's local handler, Kyoko will visit the COA weekly. This team comes to us from 'Pets and People Foundation'. Please call ahead to check on these visits and join us!
• 1st Friday each month, 10 am to Noon: Poetry Workshop! This workshop is for poets who want feedback on their work and who reciprocate with feedback on their peers' work. To sign up, email your request. [Group meets as a hybrid model in the Mudge Room, 2nd Floor, Town Center building]
• Wednesdays at 12:30 pm: Meet the Town Nurse! Please come join the new Community Health Nurse, Julie Genova, at the COA. She wants to hear what you hope the nurse can do for you and to incorporate much-loved offerings from the past.
• Select Tuesdays at 7:30 pm: Great Books Group meets on Zoom! This is a planning meeting for the 2022 to 2023 reading list. Email Mary for more information and the Zoom link
• 3rd Thursday 10:30 am to 1 pm: Free Hearing Clinic! Apex Hearing Care, LLC Custom Fit and Service Hearing Aids Owner, Joseph J. Sarofeen, is offering free hearing screenings and checks on existing hearing aids and instruments. Limited appointments are available, call the COA to sign up at 781-275-6825.
• 3rd Friday 10:30 am: In-Person Memory Cafe. Caregivers and loved ones are welcome to join to reconnect with others and socialize! Call the COA to sign up at 781-275-6825.
