Neighborhood Traffic Calming

Traffic calming is the use of engineering design to reduce speeding, high traffic volumes, aggressive driving, and unnecessary vehicular traffic through local neighborhoods. If a resident believes that pervasive traffic speed or volume issues exist within their neighborhood, they should begin by reviewing the Town of Bedford Neighborhood Traffic Calming Policy, and bringing the problem to the attention of the Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) via email. For urgent matters needing immediate attention call the Department of Public Works at 781-275-7605 weekdays between 8am - 4pm, or the Bedford Police at 781-275-1212.
