In need of Durable Medical Equipment?
If you are having surgery or are in need of some temporary medical equipment, the Bedford Health Department has a DME Loan Program for residents that may have the items you may need. DME that we may have on hand to be borrowed include:
Crutches * Walkers * Bed & Tub Rails * Commodes * Shower Chairs * Transfer Benches * Raised Toilet Seats *Wheelchairs are available through the Council on Aging (COA) Department
If you are interested in borrowing any of the items above, please contact the Health Department at 781-275-6507 to see if the item(s) are available.
Donations of these DME items are accepted ONLY if:
* it is an item listed above
* the item is in good, clean, usable condition and does not have any rust or missing pieces of any kind
* we have space in our current inventory for that item(s)
*PLEASE NOTE* - DME can only be accepted/loaned out during normal office business hours. Residents may not leave leave items outside of the building.
