COA Gardening Project Grows Again

Volunteers lend a hand in the Garden

The COA Community Garden Project is in its 2nd growing season. This year Volunteers chose herbs, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, onions and potatoes. A watering schedule has been drawn up with volunteer help and the Kids Club is also joining our efforts this year to help the garden grow. A special request from Kids Club was for us to grow mint for their water during the summer months and the COA was happy to oblige. Come down and visit the garden and see everything blooming, along with the 3 types of mint, all growing well. Thanks to the DPW and Facilities department who helped to reinstall the rain barrell again this year, adding to our water conservation efforts too.
