On April 3, the Massachusetts legislature passed Chapter 53 of the Acts of 2020, of which Section 17 addresses a wide range of permitting activities during the COVID-19 emergency situation. The general effects are to modify the process for submitting permit applications and to suspend the timeline “clocks” for their review. All applications submitted during this time should be filed with the Town Clerk (by email and/or mail). Prospective applicants to the Planning Board are strongly encouraged to contact planning staff by email to discuss the detailed logistics and potential timeline for reviewing their case, particularly if it is time-sensitive.

For emergencies, please call 911. Thank you for your patience during this unprecedented time. If you have further questions, please contact the Town Manager's office at 781-275-1111, or [email protected]. For COVID-19 updates, please monitor the Town website www.bedfordma.gov
