The Town of Bedford has a variety of opportunities for volunteers.   Bedford is always seeking residents who are registered voters to fill vacancies Town Committees.  A list of committees is as follows:

These vacancies correspond with many areas of expertise and/or interest; however, professional experience is neither a requirement nor a necessity for appointment. 

The terms of office vary between one-year and staggered three-year terms.  Most committees meet monthly in the evening.  Residents who would like to volunteer for any committee are encouraged to call the Town Manager’s office at 781-275-1111 for information regarding the committee’s membership, responsibilities and its schedule and location of meetings.  All meetings are open to the public.
