[ARCHIVED] Potential Impacts to Curbside Collection - Monday Jan 26

The Town, in partnership with our curbside collection contractors, is closely monitoring the incoming snowstorm and potential impacts to curbside collection routes scheduled for Monday January 26. This includes trash, recycling, food waste and bulky item appointments. A final decision will be made by 12:00PM Sunday. Updates will be made to official communication channels at that time. Residents can expect to receive information in one or more of the following ways: Latest News feed on the Town website and associated “News Flash” email communications, Recycle Coach mobile app (Google Play or Apple App Store) and push notifications, CodeRed Emergency notification. Sign up for these communication channels by clicking on the links.

Residents are urged to wait to place collection carts at the curbside until the snow stops falling in order to facilitate the work of DPW plow crews. Carts that are curbside during snow operations are likely to be knocked over, pushed into snow banks or damaged. DPW anticipates that plow operations will begin early Sunday and continue throughout the day on Monday.

In the event that residents experience a collection issue or damage to an assigned collection cart, please use the Recycle Coach tool to contact the DPW or email trashrecycling@bedfordma.gov
