Middlesex Turnpike Sewer Force Main Extension – Phase 2

Crosby Drive

The Town of Bedford has contracted the services of C. Naughton Corporation to continue the installation of a new 12-inch force main that will convey wastewater flows from the Middlesex Turnpike Pump Station. This work is the second phase of the Middlesex Turnpike Force Main Replacement/Extension and part of ongoing efforts by the Town to improve our sanitary sewer system.

Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, September 16th and is estimated to be completed by December 13, 2024. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, weather permitting. Crosby Drive will remain open at all times, although traffic may be reduced to one lane in each direction depending on the location of construction activities. The Bedford Police Department will have traffic control officers on site to direct traffic through the work site.

Bedford’s consultant, Weston & Sampson Engineers, will be overseeing this project. Should you have any questions or need additional information, please contact the Bedford Department of Public Works at 781-275-7605. Thank you for your patience throughout this project.
