[ARCHIVED] Town-Wide Vaccine Clinic Appointments Available!

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that everyone aged 6 months and older get the 2024-2025 flu and COVID-19 vaccines. To support access to recommended vaccines, the Bedford Health Department, in conjunction with our volunteer vaccinating team, is offering free flu and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccinations at our Town-Wide Clinic! The clinic will be held in the cafeteria at the John Glen Middle School (JGMS) on Saturday, October 19th from 9am-12pm by appointment. The CDC has reviewed the available scientific evidence and concluded that people may get flu and COVID-19 vaccines at the same visit, making it easier to stay up to date with CDC recommendations. If you choose to get your vaccines at different times, there is no minimum waiting period between vaccines.

Flu vaccine: Flu vaccinations will be offered to Bedford residents 6 months of age and older. However, if the resident is under the age of 9 years old, they must have received a flu vaccine in the past in order to attend this clinic. Flu, high-dose flu (65+), FluMist (nasal), and egg-free flu vaccines will be available.

COVID-19 Vaccinations: Pfizer COVID-19 vaccinations will be offered to Bedford residents 5 years old and older. In order to receive a COVID-19 vaccination, the resident must have received a COVID-19 vaccination in the past in order to attend this clinic. Please note only Pfizer vaccines will be offered.

Appointments are required and only able to be made online. To make an appointment, please visit:https://home.color.com/vaccine/register/bedford?calendar=21a75122-ab62-4f6b-b575-014a61c33650&site=town-wide-clinic-final . If you do not have access to the internet or need assistance making an appointment, please contact the Health Department at 781-275-6507 for assistance.

Please bring your insurance card to your appointment. We ask that anyone receiving a vaccination wear clothing that allows for easy access to their arm for vaccine administration. As a reminder, a legally authorized representative (parent or guardian) must be present to give permission or consent for vaccination of someone 17 years of age and younger.

If you have any questions about the clinic, please contact the Health Department at 781-275-6507, or visit the Health Department website at: https://www.bedfordma.gov/200/Flu-Clinic-Information---Community
