Latex Paint Recycling Event – Saturday, October 18, 2025

The Town of Bedford, in partnership with ReCOLOR Paints of Hanover, MA, will host a Latex Paint Recycling event on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the Bedford Recycling Center. ReCOLOR specializes in recycling and reprocessing latex paint for reuse, supporting sustainable practices throughout Massachusetts.

This event is free for Bedford residents, but appointments are required to participate. Book your appointment on the Special Collection Event page or by calling the DPW at (781)275-7605.

Residents may drop off up to 30 gallons of liquid latex paint for reuse. To be eligible, paint must meet the following criteria:

Less than 10 years old
In its original, labeled container
Latex paint only (no oil-based paint, stains, or other materials). Oil-based paints and stains must be disposed of as Household Hazardous Waste.
Quarts, Gallons and 5-gallon buckets only. Please dry out samples and dispose of in the trash.

The Town has partnered with ReCOLOR for the past three years as part of its ongoing commitment to responsible recycling and waste reduction. Learn more about their recycling process on their website. Can't make the event this weekend? ReCOLOR also accepts paint at various local independent paint retailers (fees apply). Check the website for location information.
