Trash & Recycling Update – One-Day Delay Due to Extreme Weather
Curbside Trash, Recycling, and Bulky Item collection services are running today on a one-day delay due to the extreme weather experienced over the weekend. Food waste subscribers should have received an email directly from Black Earth regarding their collection schedule for this week. Please refer to that communication for specific details.
As a reminder, please ensure that collection carts are free from snow and ice and at least 2 ft away from snowbanks on all sides. The contractor is unable to collect carts that are buried in snow or too close to obstructions.
If you experience a missed collection, were unable to place your carts out for pickup, or have damage to a trash or recycling cart, please contact the DPW through the Recycle Coach mobile app or by calling the DPW directly at 781-275-7605.
Some residents have reported receiving automated phone calls or text messages from Republic Services indicating additional delays. These messages appear to have been sent in error. While these messages were not sent by the Town, we understand they may be frustrating and confusing. Please rely only on the Town’s official communication channels — the Town website and the Recycle Coach mobile app — for accurate and up-to-date information regarding trash and recycling services.
