The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing the implementation of alternating one-way traffic on the Route 225 bridge over the Concord River, effective Monday, August 25. Traffic will be controlled by temporary traffic signals on either side of the bridge.
The traffic setup is necessary due to deterioration of the timber support piles on the southern portion of the bridge. To ensure safety, vehicle loads must be removed from the affected section until appropriate repairs can be designed and completed.
Appropriate signage and law enforcement details will be in place to guide drivers through the work area. Drivers traveling through the area should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
All scheduled work is weather dependent and subject to change without notice.
