Bedford's reorganized and updated Zoning Bylaw, which the Planning Board worked on with staff and consultants over several years, has now been approved by the Massachusetts Attorney General. The approval includes the changes to rules governing Accessory Dwelling Units (to reflect new state law), which were presented as a separate article to the main reorganization at the 2025 Annual Town Meeting. Once approved, and notice posted, zoning amendments are treated as taking effect from the date of the Town Meeting which was March 25, 2025. The full new document is now available on the website.
