The Department of Veteran Services is hosting a viewing of the Netflix documentary “In Waves and War,” directed by Bonni Cohen and Jon Shenk. The film follows three Navy SEALs navigating PTSD and traumatic brain injuries, and their exploration of alternative treatments after traditional options proved unsuccessful.
The event will take place on May 5th at Bedford Town Hall (Reed Room), beginning at 12:00 PM. The schedule is as follows:
- Lunch: 12:00–1:00 PM
- Film Screening: 1:00–3:00 PM
- Presentation to follow by Dr. Elisabeth Parrot, Clinical Psychologist and Director of the VA Readjustment Counseling Service
