The Bedford Department of Public Works will be deploying a temporary pilot project on Friday, October 18th to slow vehicle speeds down in the vicinity of the Reformatory Trail/Concord Road crosswalk. A series of moveable delineator posts will be placed in advance of the crosswalk in both directions. The posts will be removed sometime around the week of 11/15 before the snow season. If successful, this will be redeployed in the spring as the Town works on a more permanent safety solution.
The Transportation and Bicycle Advisory Committees reviewed the proposed plan, and provided their unanimous support for the trial at their September 4th joint meeting.
