Therapeutic Recreation

What is Therapeutic Recreation?

Therapeutic Recreation is a process that utilizes recreation and leisure to provide adaptation and support to individuals of all abilities within recreation programs and services. Participating in Therapeutic Recreation programs can promote independence and encourage improvement in social, emotional, cognitive and physical wellbeing.

Inclusion:

Our inclusion program provides extra support to participants during recreation programs. If you are interested in participating in any of our therapeutic recreation programs or would like to request inclusion support, please fill out our inclusion questionnaire. This allows us to meet the needs of each individual to the best of our abilities. Our Therapeutic Recreation Specialist will use this information to create a plan that ensures proper support during our recreation programs. Support can vary dependent on the needs of the participant.
